About Us

In 1970, Mrs. Aniceta Perez, then president of the Catholic Women’s League (CWL) at Our Lady of Hope Parish, asked permission from the Vicariate of Sta. Rita to open a preparatory school…

We believe that true education aims at the total formation of the learners and his/her ultimate goal is to unite himself/herself with his/her Creator.

We believe that Mary as Our Lady of Hope, our School Patroness, calls us to live the virtuous life of hope, prayer, sacrifice, and compassion.

We believe that as a community of Christ-like disciples we are empowered and sent through effective servant-leadership moving towards becoming the Church of the Poor.

We believe that the school is an important force in strengthening Filipino families; inculcating duties of citizenship, patriotism, nationalism and participating in the pastoral activities of the parish and communities.

We believe that we must not only learn but also live our faith.

We believe in the continued religious and quality academic excellence.

The OLHPS logo is the image of Our Lady of Hope as seen in her apparition to the four children at Point Maine, France in 1871. The logo stands for Christian precepts for being with God through Mary which the institution adheres to and binds its aspirations and hopes. Our Lady of Hope is wearing a blue robe embroidered with numerous golden stars, she has a black veil and gold crown, and she is also holding a small red crucifix making the symbol of Christ the center of the emblem.

Around the image of Our Lady of Hope we see the school’s four core values: Hope, Sacrifice, Prayer, and Compassion.

Hope is the name addressed to Our Lady, a true woman of hope. Our Lady encourages learners in following her by not losing hope especially in times of difficulties.

Sacrifice is signified by the red crucifix which appeared on the hands of Mary with the words “Jesus Christ.” When the crowd began to say, “My Sweet Jesus,” our Lady’s expression changed to profound sadness. Jesus Christ sacrificed himself to save humanity. Our Lady invites the pupils to offer sacrifices, even small ones, in imitation of Jesus, her Son.

Prayer signifies the school ideals based on a solid spiritual formation under the banner of Our Lady. The learners are taught to develop their prayer life even at an early age.

Finally, we see how Our Lady shows compassion by appearing during a time in history when people were losing hope.

The white background which symbolizes hope, simplicity, purity, peace, respect, and dignity calls pupils to emulate the purity of Our Lady with optimism so that through her intercessions their dreams will become a reality.
